The Cardsmaxing guides

Change Wallet card artwork from your Mac.

Cardsmaxing prepares and sends artwork for detected cards. The final check happens on your iPhone.

Before you begin.

Read the compatibility page and test-build status. Have macOS 14 or later, a USB data cable, an unlocked iPhone and artwork you have permission to use.

1. Prepare the artwork.

Use a clear photo or illustration with room around important details. The documented Wallet artwork format is 1536 × 969 pixels. Avoid private card details in images or screenshots.

2. Connect, unlock and trust.

Connect the iPhone by USB, unlock it and confirm Trust This Computer. Check the device shown by the Mac app.

3. Detect the intended card.

Click Scan Cards. On the iPhone, open Wallet or double-click the side button, authenticate and select the card you want to personalize. Wait for that card to be detected.

4. Choose and inspect artwork.

Choose the image for the detected card or drop it onto the card preview. Check framing and the intended target before using Send skin to iPhone or the plural Send skins action.

5. Transfer, refresh and look.

Use Send skin to iPhone (or Send skins to iPhone) and read the result. Reopen Wallet, or restart the iPhone following the documented refresh step if needed. Inspect the actual target card. Record transfer completion separately from artwork displayed.

If the card is missing.

Reconnect, use the missing-card tools and repeat the live scan. Saved IDs, Mac cache counts and a connected log stream do not prove a card is eligible to flash. Continuous scanning ends when you explicitly choose Stop Scanning.
